What it's for

A bag rarely does one job. The same set carries books through a school week, kit to a training session and lunch to a desk on Monday morning. At 31 litres it is deliberately generous, with room for a coat stuffed in at the top when the weather turns, which is most of the year here.

How it works

Three matching pieces work together. The backpack takes the bulk of the load: books, folders, a change of kit and a water bottle. The insulated lunch bag hangs from its own handles or sits inside the main compartment, keeping food cooler for longer and separate from everything else. The pencil case holds pens, cables, cards and the small things that otherwise end up loose at the bottom.

Splitting the load across three pieces is what keeps it organised. Because all three share the same print, they read as one set rather than three bags that happen to travel together.

Designed for everyday use

The shoulder straps are wide and padded, spreading the load across both shoulders rather than concentrating it in a narrow band, and they adjust at the base so the fit can be set properly for a teenager or an adult. The back panel is finished in breathable mesh, and the same mesh runs down the side pockets for airflow.

The outer is a water-resistant Oxford fabric with a nylon lining, which keeps books, kit and electronics protected through light rain and everyday spills. Reinforced stitching and smooth-running zips hold up to daily loading, and a top grab handle takes the weight when the bag is lifted onto a train seat or a locker shelf.

Storage & space

Every part of the day has somewhere to go, which is what stops a bag turning into one deep pile at the bottom. The backpack opens into a large main compartment with a full double zip, with an internal sleeve that holds folders or a laptop flat against the back, and a second front compartment for the things needed in a hurry. Two flat zip pockets sit on the front face, and an open mesh pocket on each side holds a bottle within easy reach without using up room inside the bag.
